Ward Memorial Hospital Honored by TORCH for Leadership Culture Award
TORCH Leadership Award Recipients
Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals (TORCH) was honored to recognize several of our hospital members at the 2017 TORCH Leadership & Management Institute awards luncheon held on September 14, 2017 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. One of two award categories presented was the Leadership Culture Award.
Leadership Culture Award
The Leadership Culture Award recognizes an accomplished team or organizational culture that has worked successfully together for the betterment of the organization, patients and the community they serve. This year TORCH announced Ward Memorial Hospital Team as the recipient of the Leadership Culture Award.
"Ward Memorial Hospital embodies the true spirit of teamwork, which is displayed through their interactions with each other and their patients," said David Pearson, president and CEO of TORCH who handed out the awards. "Their organization has experienced rapid growth and success while undergoing staffing adjustments within space constraints." Pearson goes on to say, "But more than their hard work and clinical quality, it is also the teamwork that makes them special."
TORCH is proud to have the opportunity to recognize their accomplishments and put the spotlight on this team for their commitment and dedication to rural health.
