RN PRN

Position Summary:

Reporting and accountable to the ED Manager and Chief Nursing Officer, the Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care within the Emergency Department.
An ER Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in an emergency situation.

Essential Duties
Special skills required of the Registered Nurse include professional demeanor, be customer service motivated and be able to communicate effectively with patients, family, and healthcare personnel.
Must be a team player.

Education, Knowledge and Skills
Must possess a Registered Nurse degree through accredited program.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Certified in CPR, have a current BLS Certification, ACLS & PALS or must obtain within one (1) year.
CEN & TNCC preferred.

Requirements

Maintains confidentiality of all protected health information on a daily basis.
Follows safety guidelines, compliance and all policies of the Hospital.

History:

Ward Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility providing healthcare services to Ward County and 14 surrounding counties in the area. The hospital has served residents of Ward County since 1956.

The hospital features a Level IV trauma designated emergency room, in addition to a wide range of medical services including laboratory, radiology, general surgery, sleep wellness center, respiratory therapy and cardiac/pulmonary rehab, rheumatology, physical therapy, and two rural health clinics.
