Welcome

For generations, Ward Memorial Hospital has stood as a symbol of resilience, compassion, and hometown dedication in Monahans, Texas. Its story is not just the history of a building — it is the story of a community that believed deeply in caring for its own.

Over the decades, Ward Memorial Hospital has endured natural disasters, pandemics, leadership and financial challenges but, despite that in this last decade, we have continued to overcome those challenges that preceded us. I witnessed adaptability through the fire in 2017 and during COVID.

Innovation and growth through additional services and expansion of the Clinics. From emergency care and diagnostics to rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, and rural health services, the hospital has expanded its reach while staying true to its mission: providing high‑quality, compassionate care close to home.

Through our challenges and success, Ward Memorial Hospital has remained a constant: a place where we call home; family who will ride and die for one another, where compassionate care is exhibited daily to those we serve. Truly keeping with our mission of neighbors caring for neighbors. From the bottom of my heart thank you for your dedication and service.
