Maintenance Technician - PRN

Position Summary:

Reporting and accountable to the Facilities Manager.

Experience and Training
Applicant must be detail oriented in regards to property maintenance with experience in mechanical trades, grounds-keeping, and plumbing.

Applicant must be mechanically inclined, possess the ability to assemble general hospital equipment and possess the knowledge of how to safely operate basic hand/power tools.

Applicant must be able to work all shifts, including weekend, holidays, overtime and on-call as needed.

Education, Knowledge and Skills
High School graduate or GED required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Special skills required of the Maintenance Technician include professional demeanor, being customer service motivated and able to communicate effectively with patients, family, and healthcare personnel. Must be a team player.

Physical and Mental Requirements
Often work with infectious specimens. Infection control and sterilization protocols must be followed to minimize these hazards. Position requires frequent hours of standing and stooping.
