Respiratory Therapy Manager

Join our Team! Ward Memorial Hospital is committed to provide primary and certain specialty services with high quality care, concern, dedication to the improvement of our facility.

Reporting and accountable to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Respiratory Therapy Manager will provide respiratory therapy treatment to patients, supervising and disciplining respiratory therapists, reporting to department heads or directors, preparing reports, and utilizing, evaluating, and maintaining equipment. Working department manager will supervise and perform all aspects of cardiopulmonary functions within the capabilities of the facility, keeping in compliance with all regulatory statues and within the scope of license. Maintains daily contact with inpatients, outpatients, physicians, and nursing staff.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities:

-Supervise and performs both basic and critical respiratory care procedures, pulmonary/cardiac rehab program, and cardiac stress procedures
-Performs both evaluation and diagnostic testing on in-house patients and outpatients.
-Supervises and performs departmental operation functions
-Department, network staff, and patient education and updates.

Requirements:

-Satisfaction completion of a respiratory therapist program from a nationally accredited respiratory therapy school required.

-The ability to meet NBRC registry requirements or Certified RRT-CRT required.

-Be licensed by the State of Texas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

-Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Current ACLS certification (or obtain within six months).
