Admissions Registration Clerk- PRN - Business Office
Effective January 20, 2022, all Ward Memorial Hospital employees will be required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment unless a documented medical or religious exemption is approved. Boosters are not required at this time.

Reporting and accountable to the Business Office Manager, the Admissions Registration Clerk is responsible for the following:

1. Registering and admitting patients accessing our facility.
2. Answers and routes all incoming calls appropriately and takes messages as needed.
3. Verifies patient's insurance and patient information.
4. Scans all appropriate documents into patient's medical record.
5. Assists patients to fill out necessary forms, including consent forms and demographic forms.
6. Ensures that informed consent is obtained for general treatment and for scheduled invasive procedures according to Hospital policies, taking into account those policies specific to the care and treatment of children and adolescents.
7. Interacts with hospital and clinic staff, physicians, and practitioners in a positive and professional manner.
8. Adheres to hospital dress code.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Training and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED required. Classes or demonstrated ability in computer skills, including word processing/typing strongly preferred.
2. Must demonstrate strong public relation skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
3. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
