Biography:
Dr. Otuada completed his family medicine residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His residency provided experience caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and strengthened his ability to address a wide range of health concerns across different ages, backgrounds and stages of life.
Before continuing his medical career in the United States, Dr. Otuada earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and practiced as a general practitioner in Nigeria. In that role, he cared for patients with acute illnesses, ongoing medical conditions and other everyday health needs while also contributing to public health initiatives.
That experience helped shape his interest in the connection between the care provided during an individual medical visit and the overall health of the community.
Primary care is strongest when patients feel heard and know their physician understands what matters most to them, Dr. David Otuada said. I want to build relationships that help patients make informed decisions and stay engaged in their health over time.
